We here at Alternative feel so strongly about
our challenges facing us that we will donate £1 to charity
for every journey to and from the airport, to off set the
highly damaging emissions from airplane travel.
Every quarter we will donate the sum of all the journeys to
securing hundreds of acres of untouched rainforest in the
Amazon, and planting new trees in this country. Dramatically
helping the co2 balance. The average human uses the equivalent
of 12 trees a year!
Saving rainforest not only helps absorb co2
and produce oxygen, but saves species of animals, plants and
indigenous Indians homelands.
£150 protects approx. 1500 trees in the
South American rainforest, the lungs of the earth.
And the World land trust will plant a tree here in the UK.
£1 will plant approx. 15 trees in underdeveloped
countries where rainforest is being cut down at the equivalent
of a football field every minute! This benefits indigenous
people as well as absorbing co2.
